Rescue and Recovery 2.0 doesn't ask for network path
Rescue and Recovery 2.0 doesn't ask for network path
RR 2.0
IBM Thinkpad X40
I can backup all day to the local drive but when I try to copy the local backup to the network it never asks for a network path then fails.
If I try a new backup to the network, again no path is asked for and it fails with "The backup failed because the destination network location can no longer be reached".
I can browse and map to the desired network location without any problems.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Can you manually copy RRUbackups folder?
What's the trick in doing this. Don't answer "use R&R" because it doesn't work!
I don't have an answer, and I have never been connected to a network drive. However you may wish to try upgrading to the newer version of Rescue and Recovery. It has more features, and that quirk may be fixed.
ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery v3.01.0037
I upgraded from version 2.0 to this version on my T42. I do think it is a better version. I would recommend choosing not to install the Client Security Solution, unless you really need it. It will still install part of Client Security, and the driver for your ATMEL security chip.

Upgraded to RR 3.0 with same thing
First time asks for network path but fails. I have copied a local backup before via this method.
Thanks for your replies....I'll try some of the suggestions
