Changing resolution for the Thinkpad Magnify Utility
Changing resolution for the Thinkpad Magnify Utility
My T42s (2373-K5H) came default with 1400x1050 pixels.
When I change resolution for the Thinkpad Magnify Utility (Fcn + Space), I get 800x600 resolution instead.
==>How can I change this to 1024x760 resolution when I use the Thinkpad Magnify Utility (Fcn + Space) instead?

Wenn switched on a symbol of a little magnifing glass over a window turns up to the left of the clock.
Left click on it and it will give you a number of options in %. Wenn you chose one it will stay at that resolution whenever Fn+Space is pressed.

A very useful tip. I tried it just now and it works (from 180% to 140%). Thank you!

I believe your question was already answered.w0qj wrote:Perhaps I'm not making myself clear...
When I press [Fcn]+SPACE, how do I get 1024x768 (what I want) instead of the default 800x600 ?
But just incase, let me rephrase this for you.
When switched on magnify mode (means after pressing Fn+Space) and you get 800x600, look at the left of the clock (means system tray) there is a symbol of a magnifying glass over a window (means you can find the magnification settings icon there).DarkMark wrote:Wenn switched on a symbol of a little magnifing glass over a window turns up to the left of the clock.

Left-click on it (means the previous icon mentioned) and it will give you a number of options in % (means a pop-up menu will appear with percent values referenced to your native resolution) so if you need XGA (1024x768) you need to select 140% (I guess for 800x600, you currently are using 180% right). Then whenever Fn+Space is pressed, magnification will toggle between SXGA+ (normal) and XGA (magnified).
Hope this helps.
