Right, but it would be safe to also have a set of backup DVDs. uberT, just connect your USB hard drive to a computer with DVD burner at work or at a friend's place and copy the files to blank DVDs.

Yeah, I may consider a DVD burner. The MP3 files can be re-created. Thousands of digital fotos can't.
