I'm wanting to replace my X30 with a X60s but after looking on the Lenovo site I'm totally confused with the options. I'm looking for a UK spec BTW.
What are the must haves? I'm thinking of
1.66Ghz L2400 processor
512 ram (will purchase upgrade ram seperately from elsewhere)
80GB SATA HDD. Are these 7200rpm? Can't find any reference on the site.
Wifi - Only Intel offered in the UK it seems
BT
8 cell battery
Some questions.
I noticed some models quote the weight as low as 1.32Kgs with 8 cell battery whilst others are 1.6kg with only a 4 cell battery. What else makes up the difference in weight?
I saw references to ultrabright screens on these forums. Is that an option or do all X60s have this?
Some models have Access Connection (connect anywhere apparently). Isn't this just software?
Isn't the 1Gbit lan connector standard on all models? I don't see it quoted in the specs.
Where is the best place to purchase a TP in the UK?
Take a look at our

I'm not sure about the weight discrepancy...
the Ultralight screens are an option - not all TPs have this. Personally I wouldn't get it. For starters it seems to be TOO bright, and it also makes the colors look grainy.
Access connection is just software. It keeps a set of internet connection profiles and actomatically switches between them depending on your location. It's pretty useful as it will do a lot of things for you such as login to VPN, switch your default printers, connect to your network - all by deault when it detects your location.
The 1gbps LAN is standard on all models as far as I know. Heck, even my 'old' T42 came standard with it, lol.
As for the UK prices, I don't know. Don't live there.
