I have a Thinkpad R51 with Dock II. The combo works fine together, except that while the Hardware config recognizes a device in the Dock II's PCI slot, it cannot call up drivers for it automatically. (It's a sound card.)
Installing the drivers manually succeeds, but the device cannot be turned on. Rebooting doesn't change anything.
I saw this same problem in a thread here dated 2005. Is this a common problem and what is the work-around, if any?
