clean install - what drivers and software should i get?
clean install - what drivers and software should i get?
hey guys, finally did a clean install using daemon tools (it was a long path to get to that point..whew)
anyway, now that i have a clean install, what software and driver recommendations should i get (the minimum)
so far it seems the fingerprint reader and the prointell wireless.
anything else?
--
also, for some reason a new install is using about 20gig of HD space. that seems a bit large for vista. i cleaned out the windows.old and im lookin at 64.9gb free of 86.9gb.
anyone want ot chime in why? an possibly how i can get more space back?
thanks !

hey there.
i did a clean install with daemon tools by copying over the entire vista cd to a folder on the desktop from a shared drive (dvd drive on my main computer)
i then created an image file of the folder with folder2iso (i thikn thats the name of the program) and ran the image with daemon tools.
i then ran a cleanup of windows.old
----
back to the orig post. i noticed there's a shock prevention program that lenovo has...is this worth installing or garbage?
