Hi

Can you modify your keyboard anyway so that one specific button is used as a windows button? And how?

You can also use the UltraNav Wizard to make one of the TouchPad buttons jump to the Start button. Handy if you're not a big user of the WIN + E, WIN + L, WIN + R, et al, combos.

Ctrl+Esc brings the start menu too. Hardly worth configuring anything for it.

This is a nifty utility I use which remaps the caps-lock key into a Windows key, and has a graphical interface where you can move around the applications which you've assigned to different letters. The price is right too...freeware:

Yeah, really, no kidding, imagine that.

But sometimes reaching for the thumb-and-middle-finger CTRL + ESC combo is an interruption, while the button is right there. And some users (women?) have smaller hands for which that combo requires both hands. This is why some peeps will use an extra mouse button for it.

YMMV and probably will.
