Can I upgrade wireless card to Atheros??

Anyone know if it's possible to upgrade the wireless card to an atheros card?

In the documentation there is only Thinkpad a/b/g.

The card is Atheros AR5BXB6
FRU: 39T5578

So you can upgrade to Atheros. (but the card has heat problem).
When I use it for hours the palmrest gets warm. About 50 Celsius
