What to do with the harddrive when you upgrade?

So, I've ordered my X60s and I should have it in a few weeks. I'm planning to upgrade the drive to the 7200RPM 100GB drive but I have a question: can you put the spare drive into any old 2.5" USB Harddrive enclosure or does it need to go into an enclosure that is designed to deal with the SATA interface?

You will need a hard drive enclosure that has an internal SATA interface. If it's not designed for SATA drives, then it won't be able to physically plug in to the drive, let alone talk to it.

Since that's a huge inconvenience, what you should really do is send the old hard drive to me.

Now that I can't use my favorite enclosure brand (they don't yet have a 2.5" SATA enclosure), does anyone have an enclosure they used and liked? I'd like something that strong, sturdy, and can be powered entirely off USB. If it works well with Norton Ghost (old school DOS disks) that's a plus.

I put my 100GB 7200 rpm drive in a Norwood enclosure from CompUSA. The drive fits perfectly, and is completely powered from the USB port. The enclosure is a shiny white color, resembling an Apple Computer device, and is about $25. I have two of them; one has a 100GB drive and the other has a 40GB drive.

Thanks for the tip. Is it an in-store only item...I can't seem to find in on their website (or maybe I'm just missing it)?
