Need information about IBM /Lenovo warranty on my machine

Hello there,

I bought my first Thinkpad machine 8 months ago on ebay canada, new unused. It's covered by three years warranty up to 07/2008, when I do warranty lookup, it gives me these information:
" This product has a three year limited warranty which includes a ThinkPlus warranty upgrade. This product is entitled to parts and labor and includes on-site service for three years. Service is available Mon - Friday with a 4 hour response objective."

How this warranty will work?
I need some information about this type of warranty and other warranty options as well.

Could you post more detailed, specific questions?

All I can tell you is that it appears your machine has three years of onsite repair coverage, as well as accidental damage coverage which covers any and all damages caused by accidents such as spillage or dropping.

Whats the difference between on-site and regular warranty?

With the "regular" warranty, you send the machine to a central repair facility if repairs are needed.

With "on-site" coverage, as the name implies a technician will come to your location to repair your Thinkpad.

Does this warranty serve internationally? or only in its location CANADA?

Either post your model and serial numbers here so we can look up that information, or telephone IBM/Lenovo CA and ask them.

That is a "Workhorse" "Global" model and is covered by the International Warranty Service.

However, based on which country you might be in when warranty service is required, it's highly unlikely that you would receive on-site repair service.
