X60 Fan Speed optimisation ?

:?: Does anyone know how to adjust or optomise the fan speed on an X60. The fan switches on & off continiously, which is rather noisy while working.

There is a home brew tool for controlling thinkpad fan speed for certain models. People reported it works on X60.
