Hi All,
A couple of weeks ago, I performed my first complete backup (base) of my HD onto an external USB hard drive (primary). I gave the base backup a name and the process went through successfully. Now, a week later, I wish to perform a second (incremental) backup. My question are:
1. Do I need to change the name of the incremental backups or can I continue to name the incremental backups with the same name as the base backup?
2. As the Help file says that RNR will create one base backup and five incremental backups, what are the options for archiving all the backups?
3. In the event of a complete restore (touch wood that this does not happen), is it necessary to load the base backup and all the incremental backups that have been created separately or will RNR handle them automatically and restore my system to the most current state?
I am so sorry to ask all these fundamental questions. I am just not very clear of the process yet. I hope that you will all understand.
Cheers and best regards,
Ranjit
