What is the difference in terms of usage time between the 4 Cell Enhanced Capacity battery and the 4 Cell Slim Line Battery. Also, does the Enhanced Capacity fit flush against the computer or does it bulge out on the X60s? Does the 4 Cell Enhanced capacity battery fit flush against the X60?
Thanks

X60s Batteries?

I have the 8-cell and the SlimLine and the SlimLine is good for about 3 hours of word-processor-level work with frequent saves (such that HDD never shuts off) and screen at level 5.
It's completely flush with the bottom and back and it rules. The machine is insanely small and light with it and it really is good for three hours. Screen brightness is probably the single biggest factor for most of the work I would be doing.
8 cell seems to be projected good for around 7-9 hours under same workload; never gotten anywhere near dead with it on a single use, though, so can't say for sure.
The Slim battery lasts for an astonishingly long time for its size and weight. Get it. It makes it that much more enticing to chuck in a bag.

I agree with your assessment of the Slim battery. I have all three, the slim, the enhanced 4 cell and the 8 cell. Each has it's benefits, however unless I know that I'm truly going to need the longer run times I much prefer the slim battery. With it in place, the computer is so small and light, which is one of the major reasons I bought it in the first place.proFeign wrote:The Slim battery lasts for an astonishingly long time for its size and weight. I use the slim battery, a snug fitting Waterfield sleeve for protection and find that it will slip into briefcase quite nicely. Also if I'm going to participate in an impromtu off site meeting it makes it a perfect grab and go package.
