I think I'm going to black that out with a sharpie. I don't like it at all.

I have a feeling you'll like it less if it's sharpied. Resale might be something to think about, too.

Lets see...Lenovo designed the t60, Lenovo built the t60, Lenovo has added options like the wide screen. Considering that this is their first all Lenovo Thinkpad they has done a darn fine job. If IBM still owned the Thinkpad line we'd probably still be waiting for core 2 duo models to be introduced. What exactly has IBM done to deserve such "blind" loyalty especially after they sold the Thinkpad line to Lenovo. Seems to me it would be much more appropriate to get rid of the "IBM" in the logo and replace it with Lenovo.

Awesome and all, but how many people actually sit back and think that when they get their brand new T60 out of the box?

Rational thought and the opening of brand new electronics are, quite often, mutually exclusive things.

Well..Lenovo still kept the name ThinkPad and IBM on the notebook.
Consider how good a job they did with T60..I don't mind the little Lenovo letters next to model number.

Shoot me, but I would take the Lenovo logo over the horrible 50's style IBM logo any day.

IBM designed it. Lenovo caught the end of the T60 R&D time, but that has nothing to do with this. at all. If I didnt like the buyup that much, I wouldnt have bought the notebook. I wouldnt want IBM there, either.

It just clutters it more, thats all.

I like the look of the T4x and the early T60's in this regard much more. It didnt have IBM there, it didnt have anything there. And I liked it that way. While we're at it, I liked the smaller model number as well, "T60" is quite a bit larger than "T40" on my old machine, not a huge deal though. This isnt a huge deal either, just an annoyance.

I love that everyone automatically jumped to the assumption that I was an IBM loyalist

I guess we just read the title of the thread and all jump to that conclusion. What we should have realized is that you don't love IBM, you just hate Lenovo. How stupid of us.

Compared to how annoying all the instant messengers can get, I don't see how you'd notice the lenovo label at all.

I kind of like the look of it. I wouldn't mind it if mine had it. Though it might be nicer just a tad less bold.

They put a "Lenovo" there? So ugly. My X60S does not come with anything other than X60S though. I guess Lenovo is desperate to get their name out.
