x60 t2300 to t5600

greetings...I am new here. just wondering if I can easily upgrade my cpu from t2300 to t5600. I just got the new cpu from a friend. My system is 1706AFU btw...maybe someone here can guide me how to do it (aka instructions)

I'm pretty sure the X60 processor is permanently attached to the motherboard...so no upgrade.

The X series has always had everything soldered onto the motherboard, especially the CPU. I believe the X60 is no different.

BTW, don't know if you noticed, but there is now a X60-2 model that appears on Lenovo that has a Core 2 Duo CPU.
