Trackpoint (X60) and Firefox2 (final, not beta)
Anybody found a way to make the work together (scrolling with middle button)?
It is really really annoying.
THanks !

I do not use Firefox, but a similar problem happened when Opera upgraded from version 8 to version 9. Horizontal scrolling no longer worked. I have been told that with Opera 9, you can change the setting for the middle scroll button from Standard to Smooth, and then horizontal scrolling will work. This setting can be changed in the UltraNav Wizard, ThinkPad Configuration, or Mouse in Windows Control Panel. You might give it a try with Firefox.

In control panel have you clicked on mouse | then the UltraNav (tab) | TrackPoint Settings... (button) | In the "Choose Scrolling or Magnifying Glass Function" area | Settings... (button) | And there selected Smooth? | This will allow you to select smooth on the previous screen.

I have no idea if this will work for the Trackpoint, as I use a scrolling mouse on my laptop. But on the new FF version 2 you can change all the preset configurations for the browser and one of them is the middle mouse button to make it scroll, perhaps it will change the middle trackpoint button? in the address bar of FF type :
about:config
and scroll down to middlemouse.scrollbarPosition and highlight that line, right click over the word false and ckick on Toggle, it will change it to true.
maybe it's worth a shot. good luck

I found accidentally the solution:
I use the Ultranav all the time, and to scroll down or up I use the right hand side of the touchpad to scroll. Then, when I read about using the middle button to scroll I tried that on FF2 and didn't work, instead it appeared a window asking me if I want to learn how to scroll (Trackpoint software have this windows), so I simply clicked Yes, and a new tab opened with a file called:
Then tried the middle button again and used the trackpoint to scroll and it worked!!
Also, if this doesn't work, hit the F7 key, you now should be able to scroll up & down using the PgDn & PgUp keys
