I am selling my 560X, solid state, the jade green one...
It's on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 6708825092
I will ship to Europe, US/Canada and of course old Blighty.
It also has (crappy at the mo) photos of the 560X, you can see how well,
despiute the crud photos the paint job came out.
Also take heed of my footnote at the bottom of the auction... replcated here in all of its glory.
"Oh and for the TIMEWASTING IDIOTS WHO BID AND TRASH LISTINGS and WASTE MY HARD EARNED MONEY (selling laptops is not my income) would you please get a life and do something better than snickering hunched over a computer with your 13 year old geek 'hackers' because you have realised typing cd c: takes you to the C drive at a DOS prompt, wooo ain't ya da hacker man!
GET A LIFE. Go outside, that place you can see outside a window, do
something, play soccer, anything, but do NOT waste my or other genuine
eBayers time.
That said I'm a lovely person if you are genuine - check the feedback. I
just have a general contempt for online idiots. I think genuine eBayers will sympathise here with me."

I can always build you another machine in that vein. And to your requirements as well.
Generally I would recommend the 560X system as it has excellent battery life for the 233MHz processor inside it, though it would also be possible to use a 560Z system with a Pentium II processor (at 233 or 300MHz).
Of course older 560s can be used, and the 560 series is small enough to suit this application, as later laptops tend to drain more power; however - I can build such a solid state system for pretty much any 44pin IDE based Thinkpad. (Which is almost all bar the very early ones)
Let me know if you have an interest; as I'd be quite happy to build a 560X for you to the same spec; and if you want for an additional cost customise the colour of the unit too.
(Only done re-works of the 560 series though, I will not be touching my T23 with spray paint as I like it black!)
