X60T Delayed Ran out of CPUs
We got an email that the projected ship date moved from April 27 to May 7 due to a lack of processors. Anyone else run into this? Seems like a good time for a free upgraded processor. ;o)
I didn't get an email, but my ship date has been bumped too...
Not that big of a deal for me, I wasn't planning on doing anything with it until the semester ends.
I'm sure others will be fustrated by the delay though. Lenovo's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The order I'm waiting on is a replacement system since the sales rep that I asked to change my original order to a 120gb hard drive told me he would, but the change never made it in time, and the system shipped with the 60gb HD. I have a perfectly good X60T with an SVGA+ screen just sitting in the box in my living room... with an unresponsive CSR who hasn't replied or called me back in more than a week. I'd be happy if the sales rep would just get my RMA started! A free bump up to a C2D system would be an unbelievable bonus....
Edit: Wow... just as I was typing this message, I got an email from Lenovo claiming my order just shipped.... hmm... I'll believe it when they update my order status page in the morning with a tracking number.
Edit 2: My order status page now shows the tracking info. =)
I ordered on Saturday, 04/14, and this order took four days to ship. My previous order with the same screen and cpu also took four days (two of which were Saturday and Sunday). Not bad at all!!
