just got my x60s yesterday and already I'm seeing dead pixels. Thanks Lenovo for the awesome quality!

I suspect if you made a habit of creating such "replacement needs" you would probably be dropped from coverage. It's luck of the draw. In my experience, you have a 50/50 shot at getting one without defective pixels. I always check for them, even though I shouldn't bec. most are really unnoticable in everyday use. And when I know that they are there my eyes are drawn to them.
i would stay away from the rubbing fix too, you usually end up creating micro scratches on the LCD and just makeing the situation worse.
