Lost all Internet access, both wired and wireless
Lost all Internet access, both wired and wireless
So, I did a Software Update via Thinkvantage and I was told to update Access Connections, power manager, hotkeys (I have been having wireless problems with automatic wireless shutoffs and must have installed some older versions). I did the update and once I restarted the system the machine does not want to connect to the Internet via wireless or wired.
Any comments, suggestions?
I am using XP with the latest BIOS version and all my drivers are updated. Everything seemed to work fine until I updated the BIOS, then the wireless would shutoff randomly if I wasn't using it.

I have the same problem after using Software Installer yesterday. The wireless radio cannot be controlled from Fn+F5. I can turn the radio on/off from the hardware properties though, because the led will change accordingly. Bluetooth still works fine.
Access Connections always thinks the wiress radio is off and doesn't connect. Wired ethernet is useless also. I can't find the Windows connection icons to connect to Internet without Access.
I've tried uninstalling the drivers and Access Connections and installing the older versions but the result's the same. System Restore failed. It looks bleak..
wireless driver 10.5.3.1API
PRO/100 driver 9.2.50.10
Access connection 4.41

This software must be uninstalled and installed in a certain sequence to avoid problems. Unfortunately Software Installer does not seem smart enough to always do this properly.
