I'm having an issue with the sound on my T60p. Sometimes when I start a new sound (e.g. start a new song on Windows Media Player, or start up a game) I hear static. I hear the static regardless of which headphones, speakers, etc I'm listening through.
The strange part is that if I switch to a different song and then switch back to the one that had static to begin with, the static will disappear. Which songs will have static seems pretty random. A song may have static at one point, but the next time I play it it will sound perfectly fine. Also, the static only starts with the beginning of a song -- it never shows up midway through.
I've tried downloading the latest drivers, but that didn't help. I thought the issue might have been with WMP at first, but then I heard the static when I started up a game. However, when I restarted the game, the static went away.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any help would be appreciated.
