This is a major problem for me because I allready lost alot of work due to this problem (yeah I know, I should allways save it first)
My model is T60 FUG-2007

I am not sure if this will help or not.
Follow the instructions on the page below to install hotfix 889673 - "A hardware DEP-enabled computer may stop responding when you resume from standby or from hibernation in Windows XP SP2"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889673/en-us
This same update is also available from Lenovo:
Common Microsoft Windows XP update modules (US only) - ThinkPad R51e, X41 Tablet, X60, X60s, X60 Tablet, T60, T60p, Z60m, Z60t, 3000 C100, N100
You might want to make sure you have a recent BIOS version.
BIOS update utility - ThinkPad T60, T60p
Also check that you have the latest Intel chipset drivers.
Intel Chipset Support for Windows 2000/XP/Vista - ThinkPad R60, R60e, T60, T60p, X60, X60s, X60 Tablet, Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t
And check that you have a recent version of the ACPI Power Management driver.

I have assumed that you are using XP. If you are using Vista, there may be other issues. You have not stated when you acquired your T60, nor how long this problem has been happening.
