To solve another issue I just updated the intel AGN driver and ProSet software using the package from the Lenovo site. All well and good. Problem is Access Connections no longer works. It cannot associate with any wireless networks. I tried reinstalling AC and same thing... just hangs while trying to associate.
Using windows (XP), meanwhile, I can connect just fine. Any idea what is wrong with AC and how I might try to fix it? It's the latest version (v4.42).
Take a look at our

Any time you upgrade the wireless driver software, *ALWAYS* uninstall Access Connections first and reboot. It is alright to let the uninstall program keep your Access Connection profiles.
You can try uninstalling both, then reinstall your wireless driver, reboot and finally reinstall Access Connections. No guarantee's though. Once this gets mucked up, it isn't always so easy to fix. If this doesn't work, Windows System Restore (I recommend from Windows SAFE MODE) should get you back to where you were.

Oops... I'll try uninstalling everything and starting again, drivers first.
However, I might just do without AC. I've never really used windows to manage wireless connections and although it's not quite as sleek and user friendly as AC itseems to be lighter on system resources.
