This is driving me nuts, since I try to use my tablet to lecture in front of 100 students, but can't do it effectively. The end of about 25% of the words I ink into journal or onenote get cut off. When I am writing with the pen on my multitouch XGA X61, the end or words don't appear. So when I pen in "History" what appears is "Histo." It is not that I let up pressure or add pressure on the pen at the end of words. The pen just stoppes leaving a mark in the middle of writing for no apparent reason. It happens even if I don't ink in words, but just scratch in ink randomly.
I installed XP tablet 2005 and vista, and get the same problem. All drivers are up to date. I tried 3 different X61t pens. I tried reinstalling vista and xp. I tried the wacom drivers from the wacom web site, and tried all the setting on that driver. I tried more and less pressure on the pen. I tried turning off various things (the pen buttons, the touch drivers). I tried 2 different virus programs (norton and mcafee).
Any ideas? maybe I need to send the computer back for a replacement, but that would be a huge hassle since lenovo took over (it would go back and forth for a while, with many phone calls, etc.).
Thanks,
Aris

Does it only happen in certain regions of the screen? In theory there could be some problem with the digitizer. Since you have multitouch, can you ink with a passive stylus successfully?
When the problem happens, if you stop what you're doing and wait, does the end of the word eventually appear? The only problem I've had similar to the one you describe is some delay in the ink appearing as the system was too busy to keep up.

Hi Tab. It seems to happen anywhere on the screen, but I tend to write notes in the central areas so maybe there is something wrong there. It doesn't happen with a multitouch passive stylus, but I don't write text with a passive stylus very often. The text does not eventually appear, so it is not a delay problem. I'm tempted to send it in for repairs to the depot, but I've read a lot of horror stories about lenovo hardware support lately.
