Actually, Bill tested a thing like this:

I think it might be the cool thing!
But you also could build it by yourself.

Elhabash,
Yep, same thing!
I have found a few "similar" items on ebay but none that appear as well constructed. The price of the unit above is quite prohibitive however. Maybe we can get a "group buy" going? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Definitely overpriced. And look at the 5-pack price!! No discount at all! It looks like this company is run by an inventor who thinks marketing managers are a waste of money. "It's my mousetrap and I'm not splitting the profits with anybody." Fine, but 100% of nothin' is nothin'. I've seen it endlessly before (Nada Chair being a handy example).kjarrett wrote:Elhabash,

Look at the trays you have in Hampton-Inn Hotels where you have wireless internet.
It basically is a wooden board with a cushion fixed to the bottom.
Works well.

YIKES..!!k3vb0t wrote:I'll keep my $140, and use a pillow if I decide to use the ThinkPad in bed. Good grief... its just some wood, bolts, and a tray.
when i first put that link up, the thing was about $85..!
a good alternative would be going to a beanbag cushion with a flat hard surface attached with velcro or some such material..
(so the cooling vents are not blocked)

Yea... what you are talking about sounds a lot like what jkirch mentioned. I stayed at a Hampton Inn last month in Huntsville, AL and they had what he mentioned. I hadn't received my laptop at the time, but it looked pretty handy for laptop use or for taking notes on paper, etc...morrow wrote:YIKES..!!k3vb0t wrote:I'll keep my $140, and use a pillow if I decide to use the ThinkPad in bed. This is what I use pretty much anywhere around home. It is cheap and works well for snack table, too.

Why is my P1 Gen 7 so much better on battery? Cool, quiet, fast — but not on AC.
