Bluetooth Problem
Bluetooth Problem
For the life of me, I cannot get Bluetooth to work. Windows doesn't see it at all. I've enabled it in the BIOS, tried turning it off then on, etc. It doesn't come up in the list of devices anywhere. I've installed every other driver on the system (Graphics, Chipset, WLAN, etc) and nothing. I opened up the case from the bottom and manually reset the bluetooth adapter and still nothing. Has anyone else seen this issue? Note: This is on a fresh install of Win7 Ultimate x64
Re: Bluetooth Problem
Be sure the Bluetooth radio is turned on (Fn-F5 from within Windows) - by default it is Off. This may be necessary in spite of your BIOS setting. Once the radio is turned on Windows should install the drivers shortly thereafter (automatically).
Re: Bluetooth Problem
What do you get when you press Fn + F5? If you get a wireless radios screen, you can click on the 'Individual Control' link which should show at least your wireless and bluetooth (maybe more if you have a WWAN device installed). From there you *should* be able to turn it on. If it is not in there, you can try to download the bluetooth driver from the Lenovo site and reinstall it.westptx wrote:For the life of me, I cannot get Bluetooth to work. Re: Bluetooth Problem
Nothing happens when I press Fn + F5 since I completely wiped the OS. When I attempt to install the drivers, it errors out saying that it didn't detect any bluetooth hardware and refuses to install. I'll try reinstalling some of the Thinkpad Software to see if it magically works but since Windows doesn't list any "Unknown hardware" I suspect that something is physically wrong.nacy333 wrote: What do you get when you press Fn + F5? Re: Bluetooth Problem
Finally got it. It looks like you really have to install Access Connections for it to work. That is extremely annoying.
