T500 display frame broken - 43Y9736 and 42X4793 differences

Hi guys,

I know that this topic has been covered several times but I have not found answer to my question. I have a T500 (2082-7RG) with broken display frame. I was looking for spare parts and I found several display frames with S/N 42X4793. Could I use them? I found them for better price than 43Y9736, however, I have not found out for what type 42X4793 is designed or what is the difference between 43Y9736 and 42X4793. Thank you very much.

Hey kesu - did you ever clarify this? My part number is "P/N 42X4794". I'm trying to figure out if these are generally interchangable.

which model had that "94" frame?
some w500 has "93" written on the frame itself(don't know if it's original or replaced or what), but is that "94" some new version then or smth?
so maybe t500 has that "93" frame and w500 is supposed to have "94"?

Not sure. All that stuff's in CA and it's been some while. I do still have those machines, and indeed one of them is a W500. It may be some time before I get back there. If I can remember, I'll check on it.
