Is your ThinkPad LCD screen visable under sun light?
Is your ThinkPad LCD screen visable under sun light?
Hi
Mine is almost not visable outside at noon. I can only see the difference between black and white, and both look kind of brown. Do you have any tricks to make the screen visability better?

I wish someone would find out how to turn off the backlight. In the sun you don't need it.
the new Samsung Q30 and Dell X1 have a button to turn off the light and you can work for hours in the sun light.
There must be a software function, because when coming out from energy saving mode, my Thinkpad first turns on the screen, and only after wild movement of the mouse it then turns on the backlight. So it is all software...
anyone knows?

I can see text on the X21 cranked all the way up on battery (important - because the X21 defaults to "Normal" for the max bright, rather than "High", when on battery).
