What about x270 ?
I'm thinking to pass from my x220 to a more recent x270 that I've found for 300 euro, in really good conditions and with a remaining warranty time of about 7 months.
Could it be a concrete and effective upgrade, considering overall performance, battery life, versatility and display quality ?

Please be more succinct.
Does it worth the price, compared to other models that could be bought for a similar price ?

Re: What about x270 ?
I just bought one brand new from Lenovo for what I think was a good price and I am happy with the performance. I had been using an x61t before that so the the performance difference was very noticeable.

From model to model there are big differences. For what concerns this X270 I don't know if it worth the price, but the good news is that it has 13 months of residual warranty.

Re: What about x270 ?
The price looks good. Does it have an IPS screen. If yes, the price is great.
You might need to get used to the 6-row keyboard layout.
It's lighter and faster than the X220, that's for sure.

Re: What about x270 ?
Still OK despite not being IPS. Specs look good.
It's only 2 generations behind the current model, so that's a plus.
The X220's biggest weakness (compared to the X270) is the Intel HD 3000 graphics-- this is something I've noticed when trying to play some Windows games via Wine-- the lack of OpenGL 4+ and/or Vulkan support limits compatibility, and the system temperature rises dramatically when the built-in graphics is under heavy load. Ironically, an AMD E-350 (a netbook-class APU) has better game compatibility (despite lower overall performance) due to its built-in Radeon HD 6310 with OpenGl 4.4 support.

Re: What about x270 ?
Unfortunately it had only hd panel (1366x768) but at the end I've paid the laptop 170 euro, that seems to be not bad for a laptop still in warranty (until 11/2020).
Now I've decide if replace the display by myself or not.
