problem updating bios

My t-60 needs a bios update to upgrade the processor. I'm running MX Linux and don't have access to windows. I've tried to use Geteltorito but it didn't work - any suggestions ?

burn the iso to a cd and boot from that - use the burn image to disk setting don't just copy the file or it won't work.
Brasero looks like it would do the job.

geteltorito worked for me last time I needed to do a BIOS upgrade on my **30 series laptops, but I haven't tried it to upgrade the BIOS on a T60. I do seem to recall some issues getting USB to boot to install the Middleton BIOS on my T61. I had to dig out a CD-R and burn the ISO using cdrecord. That should work if you have any recordable CDs and a CD burner.

yep - tried everything to get the usb to work - got stubborn and tried everything again - gave up - burnt a cd and fixed it in a few minutes - duh !

I always use CDs to update the BIOS. pretty good luck so far...
