FIREFOX: Video decoder or demuxer had an error with the content (Fehler 1301)

#1 Post by RealBlackStuff » Fri Apr 08, 2022 12:33 am

I was watching a live streaming of Formula-1 Practice-1 in Australia on my T440p (Intel GPU, W7/SP1).
I was using Firefox, via Surfshark VPN, connected to https://tv.orf.at/ in Austria (NOT Australia).

Has anyone seen or had this streaming error?
Video decoder or demuxer had an error with the content (Fehler 1301)
(Fehler is the German word for Error).

My (64-bit) Firefox browser was version 98.0.2 when the first few of these errors happened.
I then updated to the latest version 99.0, but the same error happened a few times more.
Refreshing the screen got rid of the error, but not for long.
I'll reboot after posting this, and watch some more of the Practice-2 at 07:00am GMT // 16:00 Oz time.

Until today I never had this error and I use the above connection regularly.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!
