Hi all,
Just thought I'd share that I recently modeled a 3D-printable replacement for the top cover on many models of the vintage IBM ThinkPad 760 series. This part was actually the only broken plastic piece on the 760ED that I'm in the process of restoring, which motivated me to model this from scratch. I'm not aware of any other existing models of this exact part.
You can find the model and more information here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/258859 ... cd-29h9184
Hopefully this might be of help to some other folks!

3D model for top cover of (most) ThinkPad 760 models (part 29H8966-CD / 29H9184)

Hey. I didn't want you thinking your efforts were in vain, so I printed off one to see how it checked out. It's nice work, although I have about 3/4 spares of these myself!
I think my one suggestion is that you don't bother putting the name underneath. Most people are going to print 'correct way up' which means the printer will build a load of disposable supports and the lettering just makes that all very messy:

It's a difficult thing to take photos of, but it did come out quite well. This is in 0.4mm IPA by the way, 100% infill.

Thanks for trying it out, and the feedback is appreciated! Honestly wasn't expecting any sort of immediate acknowledgement; I made it for myself and wanted to be sure it was available for others if / when needed!
