Where does one get those plastic covers for the screws
Where does one get those plastic covers for the screws
You know the black plastic covers that stick over the screws to make the TPs look all pretty like. I need a few because I don't like looking at the screws... nitpicky I know but I was wondering if anyone knew where to get them.
the caps come with a new palm rest or M10 fan, that's what I know for sure. Probably with every spare part you have to open these screws for. I don't know if you can buy them separatly.

My T40 came back from the service depot missing a rubber foot, so IBM sent me a whole "Base Miscellaneous Parts" kit. According the the packing list, it is part # 13N5104.

Included are "Screw caps (square, thin)".
IBM picked a pretty inefficient way to send the kit to me. The kit itself comes in a small ziplock bag. This bag was placed in a small cardboard box, which in turn was placed in a larger cardboard box, which in turn was finally placed with some packing materials into an even larger cardboard box. The total weight was something like 4 pounds, and I doubt the parts kit itself is more than 250 grams.

My guess would be they kept adding boxes until they found a size that didn't get lost in shipping...K. Eng wrote:IBM picked a pretty inefficient way to send the kit to me.
