Hello,
I have a Hydis HV150UX2-100 screen with the modified cable and inverter but I have a problem when trying to put it in the case of a 15" T60.
The Hydis screen is thicker than the original T60 screen and for this reason the lateral mounting screw holes do not all allign, just 2/6 do, the problem beeing that because of the thickness the bezels with the mounting holes do not reach the case mounting holes, they just cant go down enough.
The holes that I can put screws in are not enough to keep the panel firm so I wont risk that.
I put the screen in a R60 screen case and the holes align perfectly because the screen case is larger.
Now I have another problem because I want to use this screen in my t601 frankenpad.
So my questions are:
1. How can I put the screen in a T60 screen case without risk of of an unstable screen or the screen touching the keyboard when I close it?
2. The second option is to try to put a T61 14" board in the R60 15" chasis and use it like this. I tried to put the T60 screen bezels and hinges in the R60 screen chasis but they are not compatible. Too bad.
If I go the R60 route or even the T60 route I still have a problem with the screen cable as it is longer that the stock cable and when I try to close the lid it makes a huch that I am afraid that in time will damage it. I will atach some photos.

Hydis HV150UX2-100 screen in a T60 15" problems
Re: Hydis HV150UX2-100 screen in a T60 15" problems
That’s a sweet R60.
Can you free up any slack in the cable if you remove the bluetooth? Altho i reckon the inverter is also going to make things awkward.
I definitely don’t recommend using the cable like this much, they are quite fragile.

Re: Hydis HV150UX2-100 screen in a T60 15" problems
I have built more than 75 T601 Frankies, but never tried it in an R60.
I also have never found the HV150UX2-100 screen to be too 'thick' to fit in a T60.
T60 and R60 LCD-cables are different and don't 'like' to be in the other model.
To see how a T60 LCD is replaced, check this ifixit link.
(In Step 3 they show 2 screws in the top corners. These do NOT exist on a 15" display, so ignore them.)

I also posted on the German Thinkpad forum and an user said that I need an old version of this screen because the new ones are thicker.
In this image on the right is the UX2 screen and on the left is the original T60 screen the difference is visible.

So in this case I am out of options I guess. The screen is superb and I am gonna use it in the R60 and try to put a T61 board in there, that will be a fun weekend project.
